Art Director/Project Manager

Job Description:   

Links Global has a great opportunity for an experienced Art Director/Project Manager with 10 years of management and 10-15 years of hands on multimedia experience inclusive of concept development, illustration, graphic design, web development, photography, and videography. The Art Director should be knowledgeable in key software such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and MS Office and have a degree in design or related field.  The Art Director will should have experience in managing and directing small teams of 3-5 people in the areas of publishing, printing, audiovisual and mailing operations. Candidates should be sure to highlight any experience they have in communications on public health topics and govenrment in general.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and manages a small team of multimedia specialists and a copywriter/editor and manages creative and administrative responsibilities for a publishing, printing, and mail operations unit
  • Plans and manages the creative process in its entirety while performing an array of multimedia production activities to support communication programs for a variety of government and private sector clients.
  • Primary functions include planning, coordination, managing, implementation and evaluation of art design, graphic design, photography, editorial, and audiovisual products and services.
  • Applies agency and industry best practices in design concepts, guidelines, and practices
  • Directs art design and creates imagery for a variety of campaigns.
  • Presents and sells concepts to clients
  • Create multimedia designs around general subject assignments.
  • Ensures deliverables comply with copyright, trademark laws, branding guidelines, and Section 508 requirements
  • Proofread and provide final quality control for all products
  • Manage all paperwork and processes for the agency in printing and publishing through the GPO
  • Participates in company-wide business development, and marketing activities.  Position may require occasional domestic and international travel.


Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in arts, design, film and video, communications, or related field
  • 10 years experience in managing media products and projects
  • 15 years experience in the arts with well rounded knowledge in print, digital, and multimedia
  • Understanding all aspects of the multimedia process, from creation, design to distribution
  • Demonstrated ability to work tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments, and work well with other interdisciplinary teams
  • Proven record of customer satisfaction, detailed oriented and extremely organized
  • Exceptional communication and writing and editorial ability
  • Experience using: Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, MS Office, and project management software
  • High-level English language skills
