Links Global seeks a proactive and results-driven Outreach Coordinator to join our marketing communications team. The Outreach Coordinator will play a crucial role in planning and executing outreach activities to make a lasting impact by supporting public awareness, education, and outreach efforts to promote the prevention and treatment of diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. The ideal candidate should have experience working with federal agencies or organizations addressing prevention and treatment of diseases. The Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the project team to ensure effective engagement with target audiences and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in outreach coordination or community engagement, preferably in disease prevention and management field.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies and plans to engage target audiences, including community organizations, stakeholders, and diverse communities.
  • Coordinate outreach events, workshops, and community engagement activities to advance the prevention and treatment of diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community partners to support outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing communications team to ensure messaging and materials are tailored for diverse audiences.
  • Track and report on outreach activities, engagement metrics, and community feedback to measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts.

Examples of Relevant Employment History and Accomplishments:

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating outreach activities and engaging with diverse communities.
  • Experience working with federal agencies or organizations addressing prevention and treatment of diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Communications, Social Work, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to plan and execute outreach events.

Provide Sample Work of Marketing Communication Experience:

  • Non-communicable disease prevention and management campaigns targeting.
  • Health awareness initiatives.
  • Social science research studies.
  • Messaging and strategic communication targeted to the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.
  • Communication materials and products.
  • Strategic communication plans.

Provide Samples of Relevant Expertise Communicating with Diverse Audiences:

  • Developing culturally and linguistically appropriate communication materials and strategies for diverse populations.
  • Messaging plan targeted to audience segments.
  • Stakeholders engagement plans and achievement reports.
